Wrap, Textured Board, High-Pressure Laminates

  • Use a mild soap-based solution to clean 

  • Wipe with a damp cloth, and dry with a soft dry cloth 

  • Do not use cleaning products that contain alcohol or solvents.

  • Do not use wax based furniture polish, abrasive cleaners, acetone or glass cleaners 

  • Cooking splashes should be wiped using a microfiber anti-scratch cloth.

Acrylic

  • Use a damp cloth to clean

  • Dry with a soft dry cloth 

  • Do not use cleaning products that contain alcohol or solvents.

  • Do not use wax based furniture polish, abrasive cleaners, acetone or glass cleaners 

  • Cooking splashes should be wiped using a microfiber anti-scratch cloth.

Solid wood, Wood Veneer, Paint (Duco)

  • Use a mild soap-based solution to clean 

  • Wipe with a damp cloth, and dry with a soft dry cloth 

  • Dust with a soft cloth only, following the grain pattern of the wood.

  • Do not use cleaning products that contain alcohol or solvents.

  • Do not use wax based furniture polish, abrasive cleaners, acetone or glass cleaners

  • To remove fingerprints and marks, use a damp cloth, followed by drying with a soft cloth. 

  • Cooking splashes should be wiped using a microfiber anti-scratch cloth.

Semi-tempered Glass / Crystal

  • Use a mild soap-based solution to clean 

  • Wipe with a damp cloth, and dry with a soft dry cloth 

  • You may use glass cleaner

  • Do not use wax based furniture polish, abrasive cleaners, acetone or glass cleaners

  • Cooking splashes should be wiped using a microfiber anti-scratch cloth. 

         WORKTOPS

Solid Wood

  • Do not cut directly on the surface as scratching will occur.

  • Mop up spills straight away 

  • Do not leave wet crockery to stand for any length of time 

  • Pay close attention to prep and sink areas. When water gathers, wipe up immediately to avoid damage. 

  • Make sure the surfaces don’t have prolonged contact with metals, such as iron and steel, as these can cause staining of the timber. 

  • Use a very mild soap-based solution to clean

  • Wipe with a damp cloth, and dry with a soft dry cloth 

  • Dust with a soft cloth only, following the grain pattern of the wood.

  • Do not use cleaning products that contain alcohol or solvents.

  • Do not use wax based furniture polish, abrasive cleaners, acetone, petrol or glass cleaners 

  • Solid wood work surfaces require more maintenance than other tops

  • Cooking splashes should be wiped using a microfiber anti-scratch cloth. 

Granite / Marble

  • Do not cut directly on the surface as scratching will occur.

  • Do not drop heavy objects onto the surface.

  • Using a trivet for resting hot objects away from your surface is recommended.

  • Do not use abrasive cleaners.

  • Do not forcefully scrub any area of the countertop.

  • Do not allow water to pool around sinks and faucets areas for prolonged periods of time.

Porcelain, Quartz and Other Synthetic Stones

​

​

  • Use soapy water, ammonia-based cleaners (not window cleaners as they can leave a waxy build up that may dull the surface) or commercially available solid surface cleaners.

  • These will remove most dirt and residue from all types of finishes although stubborn residue will require a little stronger cleaner.

  • To avoid water marks, clean up spills before they dry.

  • To disinfect, wipe surfaces with very diluted household bleach
